The real life of Lindsay

Hello anyone and everyone!

I’ve decided to create a blog designated for lifestyle and fitness. I have a long running history with the fitness world, and would love to be able to share my journey in the hopes that I can reach at least one other person and help them throughout their journey with my posts. I plan on giving life and fitness tips/tricks/hacks, all from my own experience, to help make things a little easier for you in the crazy, ever growing industry.

To give a little background on myself, I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts, specializing in photography. Although I am not actively pursuing photography as my career, it is still a part of my life and I don’t think my love for it will ever die. My senior year of college was when I really began to realize that I wanted to help other people, I wanted to guide others in their fitness journey, and make it a little easier for them, especially if they are just starting out! There are so many different types of training and nutrition methods that it can be very overwhelming to start. Been there done that, and I can tell you, not having to deal with it on your own can be very beneficial. I oftentimes wonder where I would be if I knew when I started what I know now.

So, after I graduated college, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in fitness, and enrolled with NASM to become a certified personal trainer. I have been a trainer for just over a year now, and the next step for me, in furthering my education, is to get my nutrition certification. I am doing this for two reasons, 1. I have a permanent hunger to learn. I always want to know more, I want to know everything, and be a reliable resource for my clients and people who reach out to me, and 2. I will become that much more of an asset when I can not only help people with personalized training plans, but with nutrition plans as well. Diet and exercise come hand in hand, and you can work as hard as you want, but the real results will come when you focus on your nutrition as well.

Topics may include: flexible dieting, meal recipes, posts about my gym workouts, favorite gym brands, supplements, etc. If there is anything you have of interest that you would like me to address, feel free to leave a comment and the topic will be discussed in a future post!
